Swift2Pay is a bill payment platform that allows you purchase airtime, data and renew your TV and electricity bills from the comfort of your home and offices. With over 760 network covered worldwide, making both local and international airtime and data top-up seamless.
The Swift2Pay App will be ensuring that day-to-day bills can be paid easily on the app
I was the main designer and developer working on this project feature in October 2019 with a team of three engineers.
The Problem
Giving customers the ability to make online payment for their fundamental bills on the App. Consciously, a customer’s ability to log into the mobile app on a daily basis before automatically transferring from their bank accounts into their Swift2Pay wallets.
Moving away from an accrued model to pave the way for Instant Transaction required a ground-up thinking of the way online payment are organized and displayed on the app.
Goals
- User : Make bill payments whenever they want
- Business : Increase engagement and retention of customers
- Product : Create an easy online payment structure to attract customers
Research
Determined to make the bill payments application work the way customers want, we conducted rounds of user testing with iterations based on feedback.
Receiving funds for bill payments can be more complex than it seems. With Swift2Pay App, customers can add or adjust their payments for a period of time, so the listed amount of bill payments may change.
Moreover, I thought it was crucial for customers to access the app and make bill payments immediately, anytime they want.
Complex challenges like this were among several identified during user research sessions, and validating this and other solutions before implementation was key.
